      Pros: Long battery life, convenient size

      Cons: Missing key features, cannot drag and drop music files, requires a USB cable to charge battery and transfer songs

      Verdict: A lack of features and convenience overshadow strengths such as long battery life on this flash-based player.

      Sony NW-E405 Network Walkman (512MB)

      Pros: Fantastic battery life; cool and unique design; bright, easy-to-read OELD; solid sound; gets really loud.

      Cons: No FM tuner or recording features; inelegant software; must use Sony's SonicStage software to get music onto the player.

      Verdict: If you want a beautiful-looking device with killer battery life, consider the Sony NW-E400 series.
