      Sony Ericsson W850i

Review summary: The W850i wraps Walkman functions and 3G inside a compact slider phone. Will you be walking to its beat?

Verdict: There's plenty of choice right now in the music phone market, such as the already mentioned Nokia 5300 XpressMusic and the very tiny Samsung SGH-X830, both of which have some good music control features. The W850i doesn't beat either on size and sits midw

      Sony Ericsson W850i

      By David Hall

Review summary: The W850i is the latest addition to the Walkman product range, and does perform quite well in many aspects. I enjoyed using the W850i, but there were a few issues that did get up my nose when reviewing the handset - mainly the lack of auto-focus, and the

Verdict: For many people the W850i will be looked at as an alternative for the Sony Ericsson K800i, which is (still) very expensive. The W850i does have a similar feature set, but there is one main difference: the camera. The K800i excels like no other in the came

      Sony Ericsson W850i

Review summary: The W850i was the first Walkman phone to feature the Walkman Player v2.0 and is the first attempt by the company at the slider form-factor. So let's see how well it handles slider phones.

Pros: Walkman player v2.0, 2 MP camera, Memory stick pro duo, 1GB card bundled, Quick Interface, Great battery life

Cons: Slightly bulky, Missing play/pause button, No Auto-focus, QCIF video, Expensive

Verdict: The W850i sells for around Rs. 20,000 with a one-year warranty. It is too expensive even considering the newer Walkman player and the 1GB Pro Duo card provided. If it featured M2 memory, the high price tag was justifiable. Even the newer player requires y

Sony Ericsson W850i Review - Mobile Phones

      By Ella Morton

Review summary: The first slider phone in the Walkman series, the W850i has a lot of fun features but an annoying keypad design.

Pros: 1GB memory card included, Music sounds great, with bass especially solid, Fun music features like visualisations and light effects

Cons: Annoying navigation buttons, Song transfer can be a lengthy process

Verdict: The move to a slider form factor has not been without problems, but overall the W850i is another winning Walkman phone.
