      Pros: Sleek and slim design, 4.3in widescreen display, user-friendly interface, reasonable performance

      Cons: Expensive considering its entry-level position in the market, lack of included accessories

      Verdict: The nuvi 250W is a solid unit and the widescreen display is certainly a nice touch for an entry-level model, but its missing a few features to warrant its price tag.

      Review summary: The Garmin nuvi 250W is a slim, entry-level sat-nav offering UK and European mapping plus safety cameras, but little in the way of extras. It's simple and easy to use, though, and gives reliable directions and useful points of interest

      Pros: Big, colourful screen; good search and points of interest; clear voice

      Cons: Weak GPS; no traffic info; can't update software
