Award: Editor's Choice!
Review summary: Lexmark's X4850 is excellent value for money. It costs just £129.99, but includes features such as wireless networking that aren't found in even its more expensive rivals
Pros: Good performance and print quality, as well as wireless networking and double-sided printing at a very competitive price
Cons: Four-colour printing lacks the subtle tones of six-colour rivals, relatively low scanning resolution
Verdict: However, if your emphasis is on photo-printing then you might be prepared to trade in features such as the wireless networking for that little extra print quality that is offered by its six-colour rivals.

Pros: 2.4in photo display, allowing you to check and edit photos
Cons: Slow print time for good quality prints
Verdict: Neither of the new Lexmark wireless multifunction printers is cheap, but the wireless features are well worth looking into. Add to that great ease of use and very competent print quality, and the X4850 is a very decent model for photo enthusiasts.
