  Pros: Incredibly short throw, with 75-inch diagonal image at 3 inches from screen. Bright image. Vibrant colors.
  
  Cons: Big and heavy. Setup takes more work than with most projectors. Maximum 80-inch diagonal image.
  
  Verdict: The Sanyo PLC-XL50 delivers a high-quality image from such a short distance that you can stand less than a foot in front of the screen without casting shadows.
