      HP Photosmart C4480 inkjet multifunction

      By James Hutchinson

Review summary: HP's Photosmart C4480 has many of the shortcomings you would expect from an entry-level inkjet multifunction printer, including a minimal feature set. The quality of photos isn't particularly appealing but this multifunction works well as a cheap ...

Pros: Good quality mono and colour documents, decent print speeds, colour LCD

Cons: Poor LCD interface, fiddly consumable replacement, photo quality issues

Verdict: Printed photos aren't the best quality, but HP's cheap inkjet multifunction can easily print and scan documents, despite a minimal feature set.

      HP Photosmart C4480 Printer

      By Melissa Riofrio

Review summary: HP's Photosmart C4480 color inkjet multifunction printer is inexpensive ($100 as of August 4, 2008), and its prints look nice. But it's slow, and its design is a bit skimpy.

      HP Photosmart C4480

      By Nilofar Hadjanadjiboudine

Review summary: The Photosmart C4280 all-in-one was one of our favorite printers for 2007/8, and now the new C4480 has arrived to replace it. The new model is the same size as the old one, prints at the same speed, takes the same cartridges, has the same interface ...

Pros: - Good colors for office and photo printing, - Value-for-money from XL cartridges, - Small footprint, - Energy efficient: 4W on standy, 10W while working

Cons: - Very slow, - Visible ink drops on photos, - Tiny screen

Verdict: The C4480 is slower and not quite as sharp as Canon's excellent MP630. Nevertheless, it's a lot cheaper to buy and very economical run when paired with HP's XL cartridges.
