      Lexmark X4650

      By M. David Stone

Review summary: When Lexmark introduced the X4550 all-in-one (AIO) in 2007, the unit was notable for offering a Wi-Fi connection in a surprisingly low-cost package. At the time, I described it as a less-expensive home AIO with Wi-Fi boosting the price. Much the same ...

Pros: Built-in Wi-Fi. Prints, scans, copies. Scans to e-mail, using PC's e-mail program

Cons: Slow. Text and photos are somewhat subpar for an inkjet

Verdict: Built-in Wi-Fi makes printing from multiple computers easy, but the Lexmark X4650 is limited by slow speed and slightly subpar text and photo quality.

      Lexmark X4650 review

      By Rob Mead

Review summary: The Lexmark X4650 continues the grand tradition of wireless multifunctional printing first introduced by Lexmark in 2007.

      Lexmark X4650

      By Nilofar Hadjanadjiboudine

Review summary: Lexmark has made some subtle design changes to update its earlier X4550 multifunction. The black and silver casing is still there, along with the vertical paper tray, but the buttons and a small LCD screen are now found on the side rather than on ...

Pros: - WiFi - and it's easy to use, - Good scanner, - Economic with XL cartridges, - Good quality office printing

Cons: - Poor quality photo printing, - Slower than the competition, - Ink more expensive with regular cartridges, - No black photo cartridge

Verdict: The most attractive thing about this printer is its simple WiFi. After that, it prints perfectly well, with particularly good results in office printing, and runs very economically provided you install XL cartridges.
