      Lexmark X3550

      By Alex Kidman

Review summary: On the surface, the X3550 appears to be a budget workhorse of a printer with the enticing option of wireless connectivity. It's a pity then, that the wireless is so expensive to include, and the printer itself so slow.

Pros: Optional Wi-Fi ; cartridge recycling envelope provided

Cons: Slow print speeds ; Wi-Fi option is expensive

Verdict: Lexmark provides starter cartridges (one color, one black) with the X3550, along with a USB cable -- many printer vendors aren't quite so friendly in this respect -- and driver CDs for Windows and Mac platforms

      Lexmark - X4550

Review summary: A light all-in-one device, albeit one that still demands a reasonable desk footprint, Lexmark's X4550 is heavily targeting those with a wireless network in their home. That's down to one of its box-stated features being the ...

Verdict: A decent device at a welcome price, but those who bank on their printing and scanning are advised to spend a little more.

      Review : Lexmark X4550 Wireless All-In-One

Verdict: There is of course some OCR software in the package and this worked well providing the original page was not creased or crumpled, however always check any output as even the best OCR package is only 99% accurate

Lexmark X4550 all in one: Review

      By Alan Sircom

Review summary: Unparalleled convenience at a lower than ever price, but is it any good?

Pros: Easy to install Wi-Fi connectivity ; Cheap cartridge costs

Cons: Soft print quality ; Very slow photo printing ; So-so scanner ; Price Comparison ; Lexmark X4550 all in one

Verdict: The Lexmark X4550 is a cute and small unit given its all-in-one status, and is styled using the now-obligatory white plastic iNod to Apple's design studio. The snap-on front panel (one per language, apparently) and the Wi-Fi logo glow yellowy-green ...
