Lexmark X4850
By Cliff Joseph
Award: Editor's Choice!
Award: Editor's Choice!
Review summary: Multifunction Printers offer impressive print quality, and require less space than a separate scanner, printer and fax. Macworld takes a look at six of the best.

Cons: Four-colour printing lacks the subtle tones of six-colour rivals, relatively low scanning resolution
Verdict: However, if your emphasis is on photo-printing then you might be prepared to trade in features such as the wireless networking for that little extra print quality that is offered by its six-colour rivals.

Verdict: Printer that does it all, except printing. Feature-packed all-in-one let down by print quality.
