      Review summary: DVD-based camcorders still have a way to go before they can match traditional MiniDV camcorders. Still, compared to other DVD camcorders, the DC10 is a decent offering.

      Pros: Comparitively small chassis, Easy operation

      Cons: Image quality could be improved

      Verdict: We've yet to test a DVD-based camcorder that offers an uncompromising alternative to tape. Canon's DC10 is a decent effort within its field, but cheaper tape-based camcorders still trump it for image quality.
