      Canon HV20 HDV Camcorder

      By Charlie White

Review summary: If you don't mind dealing with miniDV tape, the Canon HV20 is a fine choice. However, we prefer having nonlinear random access to shots, rather than rolling through an anachronistic tape to find a shot. We also don't care for the cheap, plastic feel ...

    • Cons: Plastic feel

One of the cheapest HD cameras around at the moment and one of the best!

Great movie quality and the zoom is amazing.
Night shoots are a bit on the noisey side, but switch on the Cinemode shooting and 24fps and you will get perfect night shoots.

The image stability feature is also great. Especially when you are in a car.
I recommend you also buy some sort of UV filter to protect the lense, as th... Read Full Review »
