      Pros: Easy to use, wide range of discs supported, decent video quality

      Cons: Poor button layout, poor colour reproduction, still images disappointing

      Verdict: For the price this is a decent DVD camcorder, but the DZ-GX3300 still has some failings.

      Pros: Pretty good video. Good sound.

      Cons: Slight reddish color cast in test shots. No features that stand out from the competition.

      Verdict: There's just nothing that makes the Hitachi DZGX3300A stand out in today's highly competitive consumer camcorder market.
