JVC Everio GZ-MC100 Review - Camcorders
By Nicole Manktelow, CNET.com.au
Review summary: Go tapeless? Go on, be daring! The JVC Everio camcorder offers video enthusiasts a taste of liberation.
Pros: Very compact for features provided, Cleverly concealed compartments
Cons: Too easy for finger to get in the way of the large lens or over the tiny sensor
Verdict: Will we banish video tapes? Perhaps not. However the Everio shows us what's possible. The camcorder is, at the very least, an interesting and glamorous addition for the enthusiast.

JVC Everio GZ-MC100

- Pros: compact, light weight, hard disk, quality picture, easy pc connection
- Cons: microphone
This is - surely - the way forward for camcorders... No tape, no rewinding, nothing but a smoothly silent 4gb micro-drive that will hold one hour's worth of the very highest DVD quality images accompanied by, it has to be said, quite stunning quality Dolby stereo sound.
I can't imagine a better camcorder for anyone that wants a family camera; the only downside is the instruction booklet w...

JVC Everio GZ-MC100
By Anonymous (10/07/2006)
- Pros: small & lightweight
- Cons: short battery life, small viewfinder, poor in low light
I have had this camcorder for a year now & I have to say I was never really impressed with it. It never really lived up to what I was expecting of it. Fine it is small & easy to carry but also very easy to drop. I found it is hard to keep the picture steady despite the image stabiliser without using a tripod. The picture quality is fine but the colours are always very pale & not rich or vibrant, a...

JVC Everio GZ-MC100
By Alexander Stuart (04/03/2006)
- Pros: small, intuitive well laid out controls, well made, easy to software
- Cons: short battery life, still photos not as good
Had this camcorder for a week now and I am very impressed with it. With smooth well set out contols, compact design, great build quality and excellent video capture this is a superb little camcorder for the money. I bought this camcorder because it has a HDD drive instead of tapes, is easy to connect to a computer and because it is small enough to carry in my pocket. The size is important because ...
