      Samsung VP-DC161W

      Review summary: Aimed at the novice end of the market, the VP-DC161W is designed to ensure users spend less time figuring out how to use it and more time filming.

      Verdict: The Samsung is a great entry-level DVD camcorder with a feature set to please undemanding users. Experts will be less impressed, though, and blank DVDs are currently neither cheap, spacious nor anywhere near as quick as Mini DV.

    Cheap is not Cheap

    • Pros: Easy to use, good audio
    • Cons: Very poor indoor picture quality

    Without mincing words, I don’t advise anyone to waste his time on this camcorder. I spent several weeks looking for an affordable Camcorder that would give me good quality video pictures...that’s all I wanted. I didn’t think it wise to spend too much money buying a gadget with features that I might never use. So, on the advice of the retailer I settled for the SamsungVPDC161. To say the least...it...
