    Sony DCR-DVD404

    • Pros: Excellent movie quality, Very good still shots, Low weight, Compact.
    • Cons: No USB out. Focus control can be difficult. No memory card included.

    I bought the Sony DCR-DVD404 to reduce the weight of taking my previous and much heavier camcorder along with my digital camera on overseas package holidays.
    The improvement in quality over my Sony Digital 8 is very obvious, the still shots also come out very well and I have achieved some very good results considering that up and till now I have been using an Olympus C50-50.
