      Review summary: Portable player with promise?

      Pros: Swivel screen mount, car kit included, 6 hours battery life, anti-glare screen

      Cons: Build quality not brilliant, limited file support

      Verdict: Whilst we aren't entirely sold on the build quality, we like the practicality of the swivel screen design and the considerate steps taken by Philips to make the PET744 user friendly

      Pros: Attractive styling ; decent price ; good picture quality ; two headphone jacks ; included in-car charger and mounting kit

      Cons: Fairly average sound quality from the tiny built-in speakers ; headphone output is quite flat
