      Review summary: You could almost hear the cheering when Sony introduced the first ever Freeview-equipped DVD recorder to the UK, banishing fuzzy analogue images and hailing a new era of easy EPG recording.

      Pros: Impressive feature set, Friendly user interface, Picture quality from DVD and recordings in HQ+ mode

    RDR-HXD870 DVD Recorder

    • Pros: Has a good specifiaction, looks good
    • Cons: Difficult to set up, instructions far to complicated.

    Had trouble setting this equipment up because of Sky connections. I do not use Dgital as reception is poor but this Recorder is probaly ideal if you do use it. The instructions whilst comrehensive are a nightmare to follow at times especially when you have to make choices about channels and God knows what. Sky is not mentioned but Pay TV is and that took me some time realise that was the route to... Read Full Review »
