Garmin Nuvi 250
By Staff writers
Review summary: An inexpensive, neatly designed sat-nav that happens to offer additional travel info if you want it
Pros: Solid build. Pocketable size. Easy to use.
Cons: Slightly confusing maps.
Verdict: The Nuvi 250, though, is a lot smaller and, with its rounded corners, integrated GPS aerial and glitz-free design, could easily pass as a generic device. Like, indeed, an electronic phrasebook

Garmin nuvi 250W
By Mark Harris
Review summary: The Garmin nuvi 250W is a slim, entry-level sat-nav offering UK and European mapping plus safety cameras, but little in the way of extras. It's simple and easy to use, though, and gives reliable directions and useful points of interest
Pros: Big, colourful screen ; good search and points of interest ; clear voice ;
Cons: Weak GPS ; no traffic info ; can't update software ;
Verdict: An entry-level navigator that benefits from a superb screen, comprehensive European mapping and excellent search functions. Only exclusively urban motorists should worry about the fussy GPS reception. The cheaper nuvi 200W is also available with maps ...

Garmin Nuvi 250
By Chris Prentis (01/01/2009)
- Pros: robust & easy to use on the road
- Cons: Still trying to update
Nightmare to update. Theoretically it can be done on line but Garmin website is far from user friendly. WITHOUT updates my 2 yo nuvi 250 is becoming increasingly inaccurate. Garmin's WebUpdate software appears to only run on Windows & Mac operating systems. What about Linux & Firefox?

Garmin Nuvi 250
By matthew hucher (22/05/2007)
- Pros: get what you pay for, easy, clear , capable, and not tarted up.
- Cons: Garmin updates and website is very bad IMHO.
I love this product, it coverage of europe is invinsable. I feel it lacks detail like fast food or petrol stations on the map when driving.
