    Nice neat Car Sat Nav

Compare Prices : Garmin StreetPilot i3 By dave davis (09/11/2006)
    • Pros: Small & compact,, europe mapping, audio directions,
    • Cons: not as fast as TomTom for quick usage ie no touch screen

I have been using the street pilot i3 for about 6 months. Previously used a TomTom. Though the Garmin is not a powerful, feature wise ie no touch screen, only one audio voice, cannot download to it other than updates or maps. Appart from that its handy in the sense that when I park up, it easily fits into my pocket and able to use a mobile gps. The TomTom is a little too bulky for that. Read Full Review »

    Garmin Streetpilot i3

Compare Prices : Garmin StreetPilot i3 By Anonymous (26/10/2006)
    • Pros: screen map is clearest I've seen on any satnav
    • Cons: voice can be unclear at times

This is a super little sat nav. It's the cheapest I've found and has a clearer screen than the NavMan530 (more than twice the price) and my husband's built in car sat nav! The voice is a little tricky to understand at times, but the screen is SO clear it has never been a problem. The screen is smaller than most other sat navs and I thought it would be a problem, but it's been wonde... Read Full Review »

    garmin i3

Compare Prices : Garmin StreetPilot i3 By CRAIG YOUNG (21/08/2006)
    • Pros: great accuracy, good options menu
    • Cons: not touch screen, no battery charge facility

the Garmin i3 is probably the best value GPS for the light user.
the maps are the most up to date i've come across, and contain the most detail for use in Ireland both north and south- a rare thing for a budget GPS.
i found it to be more accurate and much quicker to locate the address & recalculate the route if you take a detour than the pda options. only cons i can list are that you have to u... Read Full Review »

    second choice

Compare Prices : Garmin StreetPilot i3 By smudger smith (16/08/2006)
    • Pros: simple use
    • Cons: small screen

I tried a pda systrm of gps difficylt to use very unstable, voice was rubbish too.
Since buying the Garmin i have changed my opinion of gps's this unit is simple to use, stable, quick at re-calculating route, built in aerial, good sound quality, could do with a bigger screen, just a minor point.
I am surprised at the function's on it also.
    Would reccommend it to anyone.
    Very goos value.
