      Cons: The Garmin Zumo 550's points of interest database is outdated and occasionally gave us wrong street names or no street at all for some side streets. Also, automatic route recalculation is a bit on the slow side. The compass only works in off-road mode ...

      Verdict: Despite some very slight performance glitches, the Garmin Zumo 550 is a fantastic navigation system for motorcyclists (and cars), with good Bluetooth integration.

      Garmin Zumo 550 Motorcycle SatNav

      Review summary: Biker-friendly SatNav is best we've seen

      Pros: Tough; Waterproof; Glove-friendly; Street name prompts

      Cons: Volume control needs more than one touch; Battery lasts just 4 hours; Not cheap

      Verdict: Garmin have spotted all the difficulties of using a regular satnav on a bike (they're not waterproof, they are fiddly to set with gloves on, you can't use them with you throttle-hand, etc) and come up with answers to almost all of them
