      Mio DigiWalker C520

      By Craig Ellison

Review summary: Although most portable navigation systems still have 3.5-inch touch screens, last fall, Garmin changed the market forever with the introduction of the nüvi 660, which featured a WQVGA 4.3-inch display. It followed up with the nüvi 680 at CES in ...

Pros: Large 4.3-inch screen. Sensitive 20-channel SiRFstar III receiver. Deep, searchable POI database with predefined national retailers. Includes multisegment routing and pedestrian profiles.

Cons: Bluetooth phone interface connected, but didn't work with our test phone.

Verdict: Mio's latest widescreen, feature-packed GPS, the DigiWalker C520, is thin and stylish and offers a lot of bang for the buck. Though it's brimming with extras such as multimedia players, Bluetooth phone problems keep it from being a clear-cut winner.

Mio Digiwalker C520 - Gadget Guy Australia

      By Alex Kidman

Review summary: The Mio C520 is a bulky GPS unit, but that's with a very specific purpose in mind, as it uses all of its size, along with a unique split-screen approach to presenting information, making it an easy to use navigation device

Pros: Split-screen navigation, good text-to-speech directions

Cons: Erratic updating, large carrying size

Verdict: At $699, the C520 represents excellent value for money. Its large carrying size means it's not perhaps for the GPS enthusiast who also enjoys lengthy hikes, but otherwise it comes highly recommended
