      Navman iCN 510

Review summary: The Navman iCN510 has a Windows CE core, a folding GPS antenna and a safety conscious remote control. But can it get you from A-Z?

Pros: Remote control takes pressure off the driver. Clean looks. Easy to use buttons

Cons: Cursor a bit vague and clumsy. A bit of a Navigon clone

      Navman iCN 510

      By Ronald

Verdict: Overall, I felt that this unit excelled the most in terms of general navigation as well as navigating from one place to another. Setting a Point of Interest as a destination is not entirely reliable but is a supportive feature when used. As with ...

      Navman iCN510 review

Pros: Excellent directions, clear instructions and the reassurance you're going the right way

Cons: The SD card provided doesn't really have enough memory

Verdict: It's brilliant for those long trips, gives you the reassurance that you really are going the right way - with a 14-hour drive the last thing you want to do is to be diverted for even a few minutes. The Navman made sure that never happened.

Navman - Not the best choice in GPS

Navman iCN 510 By Wesley Dopson (16/03/2007)
    • Pros: Easy to use
    • Cons: Poor satalite pick up and directions from machine

I bought a Navman iCN 510 and have had it for 2 years. I have found this product wholly unreliable and a bad investment for me. Here are some of my experiences: It can take up to half an hour for the unit to get detected by satellites before starting a journey and in particular when the weather is cloudy. This has often meant I have had to wait in the car at the start of my journey for the unit to... Read Full Review »

    Navman iCN510

Navman iCN 510 By NIGEL COOK (14/06/2006)
    • Pros: Smart. Good battery life. Portable
    • Cons: Maps difficult to upgrade. UK only

Very pleased overall. External aerial needed for some cars with reflective windscreens.

Updating maps to add European proved very difficult and quite expensive. Read Full Review »
