      TomTom GO 930 GPS

      By wubayou

Review summary: Although the current trend for GPS devices in making them all-in-one entertainment centers may lessen their navigational abilities, this is not the case with TomTom. The TomTom GO 930 GPS continues to perpetuate the manufacturer's philosophy that a ...

Verdict: If you have a family or intend to share your GPS with others, the 930's size is small and favorable for easy transport between vehicles. The 930 measures 3.3 inches tall by 4.7 inches wide by 1 inch thick. It weighs in at 7.7 ounces. While small, the ...

      TomTom GO 930

Review summary: The TomTom GO 930 delivered some of the best routes we found; its lack of integrated traffic service is its biggest drawback.

Pros: IQ Routes feature lets you find faster routes ; Lots of extras, including iPod controls

Cons: Doesn't include traffic receiver or service

Verdict: All of those extras are nice, but they pale in comparison to the stellar IQ Routes technology. First and foremost, a GPS should get you where you want to go--and get you there quickly. The TomTom GO 930 succeeds at doing just that

      TomTom Go 930 T

Review summary: TomTom's 930T is a brilliant device

Pros: Large widescreen display ; 4GB of onboard memory ; improved user interface ; IQ Routes works well ; Advance Lane Guidance too

Cons: Day / night sensor doesn't work ; ambiguous voice commands ; speaker quality could be better

Verdict: If the TomTom GO 930 T has any irritating foibles it's these: TomTom's voice instructions can still serve up confusing route number names. It reads the A46 for example as the A forty-six, fair enough, but then offers the A350 as the A three-hundred ...

      TomTom Go 930T

Review summary: The TomTom 930 T is a GPS navigation system for use in automotives. It uses the IQ Routes Technology as well as advanced lane guidance. The 930T is also fitted with the Tom Tom map share system as well as a hands-free calling capacity. This navigating ...

Pros: The top-end TomToms just keep getting better. This smarty-pants front-seat driver has a built-in FM transmitter to beam digital music to your radio, MapShare to keep your maps bang up to date and top notch routing throughout almost the entire Western ...

Cons: Like a sugar-crazed three-year-old, sometimes the 930T just won't shut up. It's got text-to-speech for SMS messages, spoken instructions and street names, and even voice guidance for lane changes (alright, this can be handy at tricky junctions). Voice ...

Verdict: Enough navigation smarts to take you halfway around the world and back without so much as a wrong turn. This, people, is as sexy as satnav gets.
