    I'm Converted

TomTom ONE V1 By DEREK SUTTON (22/10/2007)
    • Pros: Clear map and voice presentation
    • Cons: Inability to buy expansion packs (for TomTom One 3)

I was persuaded to buy a satnav by my Garage which could not fathom out how to repair an electronic speedo on my old 'boys' toy' car. I wanted something fairly basic with an MPH function but which was reliable in every sense. Found that Curry's web site was the cheapest place to buy - HINT: but you can buy it for that lower price in store if you tell the sales staff that you know... Read Full Review »

    Tom Tom ONE

TomTom ONE V1 By ERNEST MCCLAY (20/05/2007)
    • Pros: Can be a helpful aid
    • Cons: Doesn't always know the roads exist

Smart machine, seems to run on old maps even on upgrade. You pay for your upgraded maps and some roundabouts do not exist( you always have right of way) dangerous or what!. Some POI seem to be situated in the centre of a blank screen no roads lead to them. Roads which have existed for years are not on map. Read Full Review »

    TomTom One GB

TomTom ONE V1 By Craig Markham (20/05/2007)
    • Pros: Works in my car with athermic windscreen
    • Cons: None

I would have given this the full 5* treatment but wanted to highlight how good the reception is! I've tried several different branded units borrowed from friends in my car and have always come to the same conclusion; I need a external antenna because of the windscreen on my Laguna. The One GB works fine, even getting a 5 bar signal such is the sensitivity of the GPS chipset.

I love it, even u... Read Full Review »

TomTom ONE V1 By Giovanni Piazza (18/04/2007)
    • Pros: Shows a comparitve location even when the road is a newbuild
    • Cons: Window holder don't work too well!!

Great navigation tool, "Does exactly what is says on the tin"

Needs a longer Battery life (8 hours minimum)rather than the 2 hours. Read Full Review »

    tom tom one

TomTom ONE V1 By MARTIN SQUIRES (20/03/2007)
    • Pros: easy to use
    • Cons: short battery life

A very good product that i cannot fault itself, but th teleatlas mapping for some areas is many years out of date.Battery life is short (about 1.5-2 hours) with heavy use. Read Full Review »
