Brilliant - didn't know which to go for - glad I chose this one

TomTom ONE V1 By Anonymous (04/08/2006)
    • Pros: Really easy to use
    • Cons: None

I found the unit very easy to use, I didn't even look at the instructions, just took it out of the box, told it where I wanted to go, and it took me staight there.
Haven't dared to load the speed cameras on it yet, frightened of messing it up I think, will get round to it when I have time to sort it out.
Have not found it a problem locking on to sats, it normally does it very quickly, and ... Read Full Review »

    Great value

TomTom ONE V1 By Len Charnock (28/07/2006)
    • Pros: Does every useful thing the more expensive ones do
    • Cons: takes a bit of working out and need to understand computers.

It took me about three weeks to get to grips with this unit. It works superbly and once i had figured out how to download maps, points of interest etc. it will do everything I could want a satnav to do. Took me a while to realise that the bluetooth traffic update won't work when I am wearing my handsfree earpiece. Accuracy is very good, customising your route is simple as is ease of use. Don&... Never get lost again

TomTom ONE V1 By Anonymous (16/07/2006)
    • Pros: Ease of use, Reception, Options( Ie avoiding motorways or fastest rout
    • Cons: Needs To run off Cigarette lighter

Never really thought about getting a satnav till we got one in the works van. I bought this from comet £218 at the time never looked back.
To say this is easy to use is a understatement.
You either type in your destination postcode or address and away you go.
You can go the fastest route, shortest or avoid motorways if you wish, It tells you if you want to avoid toll roads. In a few seconds its pl... Read Full Review »

Utter rubbish - dont't touch with a barge pole !!!

TomTom ONE V1 By CARRIE METCALFE (15/07/2006)
    • Pros: ease of use
    • Cons: doesnt work!

this sat nav is in-accacurate. it thought 2 Ripon museums were near Filey!

it has a lot of trouble getting, and then keeping the GPS signal, which is absolutely no use for 5 - 10 minutes, particularly if you dont know where you are.

i have had nothing but problems with my system. its now exactly 3 months since my first one broke down. i have had 4 replacements, all refurbished units, cards, and ... Read Full Review »
