    Tom Tom Rider European Maps

TomTom RIDER V1 By Anonymous (30/01/2007)
    • Pros: Good Screen layout and great touch screen
    • Cons: Difficult to mount on sports bikes without making special brackets

I have just completed a 4000 mile solo Moto tour of
10 european countries on an Aprilia Falco using a Tom Tom rider for GPS navigation. It was great but the european maps were a little out date with many new roads omitted. But with a little common sense it caused very few problems.

I purchased the system in August 2006 and now Tomtom want approx £100 to upgrade the maps to the latest version. I... Read Full Review »

    Great for Bike Couriers

TomTom RIDER V1 By Anonymous (27/10/2006)
    • Pros: Bike and Car kits
    • Cons: No

I am a courier. I've had this kit since June 06. It given me outstanding service. It fits perfectly on my SV650. I wouldnt be without it now. The £250 I paid for it with Car kit has more than paid for itself. I can give 100% concentration on my riding as well. As far as I know 'tom tom' are the only makers of sat nav for m/bikes. TomTom RIDER V1 By Anonymous (16/08/2006)
    • Pros: Great kit. If you NEED sat nav, get it
    • Cons: none!

I am a courier. I've had this kit since march 06. It given me outstanding service. It fits a treat on my Hayabusa. I wouldnt be without it now. The £600 I paid for it with full euro coverage has more than paid for itself. I can give 100% concentration on my riding as well. As far as I know 'tom tom' are the only makers
of sat nav for m/bikes. These people like any other people are in b... Read Full Review »

    tom tom rider

TomTom RIDER V1 By Anonymous (10/07/2006)
    • Pros: software, and working perception is very good.
    • Cons: a little pricy, but price may come down in time.

im on my second one now, i know alot of people have them break in the first year (tom toms in general) extended warranty is a good idea if you buy a tom tom. i have a ducati 999s and the only place to put it on is to attach it to the screw which holds the steering damper (and you have to leen over alot to view the clocks as well). if you have a sports bike then its way too bulky, i would not rec... Expensive white elephant

TomTom RIDER V1 By Anonymous (15/05/2006)
    • Pros: None
    • Cons: Bulky, difficult to fit and poor quality

Sent 2 back. Bluetooth headset gives intermittent reception, device is way too bulky to use on a sportsbike. Fine for a Harley but not where space is restricted. No speaker for in car use so you have to use headset in car. Read Full Review »
