      Pros: Superb sound quality. Wide sweet spot. Attractive design. Comes with an RF remote.

      Cons: No composite video output. No power button on the remote. Power button is inconveniently located on back of unit. No volume indicator.

      Verdict: A wonderful-sounding iPod speaker system that's a strong competitor with the Bose SoundDock. It's capable of powering small parties, and the RF remote means you won't have to push anyone out of the way to change songs.

      Review summary: Designers of the 1960s had a very particular idea of what 'the future' would look like, and if you hanker for those days of white, spherical chairs and automated kitchens, the JBL Radial will appeal

      Verdict: Making up for this is a USB pass-through port so you can update the iPod on the dock, and an S-Video out port for playing iPod videos on a TV. The remote is also handy
