      Zyxel Prestige P-2000W

      Pros: The solidly constructed Zyxel P-2000W VoIP Wi-Fi phone supports WEP encryption and works with any SIP-based VoIP system.

      Cons: The Zyxel P-2000W phone is expensive, with a large handset, a complicated setup process, an incomplete manual, and short battery life. You'll also need an existing VoIP service.

      Verdict: The Prestige P-2000W VoIP Wi-Fi phone is expensive and complicated to set up, and overall, the inconveniences outweigh the potential benefits.

      Review summary: Wi-Fi VoIP phones are a cool concept. But at least in the case of ZyXEL's second attempt at a low-cost product, the reality got Tim Higgins a little hot under the collar.
