    Broke after 3 months

    • Cons: broke after 3 months

    I got my 37LD6600 in May 2006, It made a high pitched humming sound from day one, which no one else seemed to notice so I kept it. 3 months later the entire TV went blank. No picture and distorted sound.
    I have no issue with electronics going wrong but I have to say Hitachi have been absolutely useless. They sent their service company out to fix it 3 weeks ago and I am now being told that they are... Read Full Review »

    very un reliable do not touch it

    • Pros: very cheap at £800 with great HD and DVD picture
    • Cons: unrelaibility, poor logic

    for a 37 with good picture quality seemed like a bargain, now know why, has completly gone no picure and as some other reviewrs on other sites have mentioned had a noisy power supply. Am pretty convinced the power supply and switch is this tv's main problem as build quality is terrible. I think build quality on most of the LCD's is bad probably because of there being no solid metal chassi... Read Full Review »

    Review of the TV not Customer Services

    • Pros: Use as a display panel only and you will be fine
    • Cons: None so far

    I bought my Hitachi from Empire Direct last year, and nothing has gone wrong, not a single thing. With a decent DVD source the picture is great, with Sky - it depends on the channel, not tried with an aerial.
    Best viewed from around 3-4 metres if viewing Sky, as their feeds can be very poor. Should be excellent with HD and can't wait.

    purchased the Hitachi 37LD6600 and have had nothing but trouble since i got it , the day after i t arrived i noticed a humming noise coming from set, phoned reseller(circuitciti) and they were going to get there technical dept to contact me , 2 weeks later still waiting,during this time picture has started to distort, phoned hitachi direct they gave us no. of local agent, yet to arrive.
