      Review summary: The LP40-TDR1 makes an admirable attempt to ride the next wave of digital TV

      Pros: Great price ; Decent ---live--- pictures ; Good sound ;

      Cons: Second-rate recordings ; Dated looks ; Single HDMI ;

      Verdict: Onscreen menus are simple, but there's a fly in the ointment: you can only access the 7-day EPG for the channel you are watching, which is annoying. Still, the remote is zippy and the TV responsive, which puts that glitch into perspective
