LG 37LC2D
By Dave Jansen
Pros: Integrated HD tuner, Good High Definition performance, Wide array of connection options
Cons: Some noise issues in Standard Definition, over-sharpening aberrations, image quality problems via PC connection
Verdict: The LG 37LC2D is quite good when compared to other mid-range and similarly priced units but is certainly not the best unit on the market

LG 32LC2D
Review summary: Poor old plasma's getting squeezed these days, as LCD keeps extending itself to ever bigger sizes. The arrival in the UK of LG's biggest LCD TV to date, the 42LC2D, will thus provide cold comfort. As its name suggests, this beauty moves in on 42-inch ...
Pros: Great looks, 42-inch screen
Cons: Some video noise, Blacks aren't pure black
Verdict: Numerous factors contribute to the 42LC2D's disappointing performance. The worst offender is video noise. Standard-definition material from the 42LC2D's tuner seems beset with fizzing and grain. More alarmingly, so does a great deal of HD fodder. A ...

LG 37LC2D

- Pros: Great TV
- Cons: APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE
I've been trying to purchase this LG tv on both these shops: DIGITAL DIRECT and SOUND&VISION. I can't belive the so called customer service: there is NO ANSWER at all over the phone. They have an 0870 number where you pay for the call but they never bother to answer the call. Maybe thats where they get the business from.
I have a problem when I placed the order with them and I can't t...

- Pros: Great picture, great sound, comes fully kitted out, superbly priced
- Cons: Would like to be able to arrange the freeview channels in any order
I had looked around for ages at LCDs for the best picture, sound, etc. but when i saw this model which is very keenly priced i decided to go for it. I wasn't disappointed. It looks good, the pictures great, sound also. I put the DVD thru the component lead and the picture is faultless. The remote is solid and easy to use, and the picture in picture function is a nice little extra. All in all i...

LG 37LC2D
By Niall McMahon (22/11/2006)
- Pros: See Below
- Cons: None
As an update to my previous review below:
1. I found that by using Powerstrip software I was able to find one graphics setting at 1376x720 that worked well for everything.
2. Since then I have updated my graphics card to a DVI output which connects to the LG's HDMI port instead of RGB. The display quality is now even sharper - indistinguishable from a top quality TFT monitor. My graphics c...

LG 37LC2D
By Niall McMahon (13/10/2006)
- Pros: Ease of Use/Set-up, excellent for PC input.
- Cons: Not much to be honest
I decided on this TV as I'd read comments about its excellent performance with RGB (PC) input. I wasn't disappointed. The set is very easy to configure, and after a little playing I obtained a very impressive PC display. Simply set the resolution of the PC to 1360X768 - for windows media centre set the TV's own input resolution to 1076x768 and for internet/word-processing set it to 136...

LG 37LC2D
By Graham Reilly (04/09/2006)
- Pros: Excellent Picture if you have an HD source. Great VFM
- Cons: Not enough HDMI Ports x1 Only, really needs 2 or 3
What a great TV. Very good value for money, easy to set up. Comes with a universal remote control so you can operate your DVD and or video as well. Looks superb with a proper HD source and HDMI cable. I would like to have had 2 or 3 HDMI ports so I can connect an HDMI ready DVD player as HDMI splitters are so expensive and I don't fancy keeping unplugging my TV Drive. My mate's 6 year old ...
