      Review summary: LG's 42-inch 42LY95 is an incredible example of a 1080p LCD at an affordable price. For just £1,300, you're treated to outstanding high-definition picture quality, good sound and a stylish design

      Pros: Ease of use ; vibrant colours and smooth motion ; good connectivity

      Cons: Slightly weak black levels ; screen not quite big enough to really show off 1080p
