Philips 32PF5520D 32in LCD TV
By Ed Monkton
Review summary: This TV may have been around a while, but the recent price drop could make it worth a look.
Verdict: We have no argument with the idea of Philips leaving one of its older models on shelves at a reduced price; we're all in favour of anything that lets people get their hands on an HD Ready TV more cheaply. But the 32PF5520D simply asks you to make more ...

Philips 37PF5520
By Holly C (29/02/2008)
- Pros: Decent picture
- Cons: Turns itself off/on several times a day
Decent value for money if you don't mind missing a key scene in a movie once in while. The TV turns itself off and then on several times a day for about 15 seconds a go.

- Pros: nice picture
- Cons: keeps turning itself off
We bought this tv after shopping around for a couple of months and were so excited to get it home. The picture is awesome and the sound is great too, our only click is that the tv turns itself off a few times a day, the green light stays on but the picture goes black. We returned the tv 4 times and every 1 we got has done it.

Philips 37PF5520

- Pros: Ease of use, great price, good styling.
- Cons: Picure a little darker when used with Sky / DVD
I bought this TV about a month ago and am pleased with my purchase. (£1214.00 from Dixons on-line special deal of the week.)It was fairly easy to set up, even on my own, but would recommend having a friend close by to help you lift it. My only major bugbear is that the picture seems a little darker when viewing through my Skybox or DVD player. I hope that this will not be the case when Sky rolls o...

Philips 37PF5520
By John Smith (31/10/2005)
- Pros: Good Picture, Nice looking TV
- Cons: Usual LCD stuff (blacks not true black), Resizing Picture not great
I bought this TV recently from Currys on special offer having spent a great deal of time looking at many TVs. I watch primarily films and the TV is great for this. It has a clear picture, good colours, good contrast (although not quite up with the best these days 600:1 compared to say 800:1 of the Samsung or the more expensive version of the Philips 37") and fast action seems fine. There are vario...
