Review summary: Have you ever wondered why you can't find any professional reviews of Philips 42PFL7662D in the usual AV magazines or on any website, despite it having gone on sale for more than one month?
Pros: 1:1 pixel mapping over HDMI and component (1080i), Independent input memory settings
Cons: Average blacks with persistent dynamic dimming, No backlight control,
Verdict: While it may dazzle in showrooms, 42PFL7662D is found lacking in key Philips technology, connectivity and calibrated picture quality.

- Pros: excellent tv great picture and sound
- Cons: after 2 months a power chip blew
after 2 months the power chip blew which i was told was a comon fault with phillips tvs but in all fearness its not garanted to happen and currys came to my house and fixed it there and then i am still glad ive got this tv so far any way

- Cons: none
Saw this screen at Comet in Kinnaird Park, Edinburgh. Wipes the floor with the competition.
First time tv has produced a lifelike, real, true, deep image.
