      Samsung LE52M87BD

      Review summary: If there's a TV out there right now with more up-front appeal than Samsung's LE52M87BD, then we can't think of it. It's a vision in gloss black, and at 52 inches it's the biggest LCD Samsung has done to date

      Pros: Peerless black level for an LCD, Good connections, Superbly crisp colours and bright picture

      Cons: Some issues with motion handling

      Verdict: Further proof that the old plasma v LCD arguments are becoming less and less relevant. It's certainly not perfect, but it's one of the finest big-screen LCDs we've seen to date
