      Review summary: Its rear end disappoints too, by only including two HDMIs when every other TV we've featured today manages three. Ah well; at least these HDMIs can handle 1080p/24 feeds from Blu-ray players.

      Pros: Superb colours, good price, good contrast

      Cons: Troubling amounts of motion blur, only two HDMIs

      Sony Bravia KDL-40D3500 40in LCD TV

      Review summary: Black levels...check. Colours...check. Sharpness...check. Motion-handling...could do better.

      Verdict: In some ways - black levels and colours, at any rate - the 40D3500 continues Sony's forward progression with LCD. But it needs to get its head around this motion-handling business too if it's really to start challenging the very top LCD dogs.
