Pros: Picture quality ; does a great job with Freeview, DVD and HD material ; ace styling

Cons: Viewing angle isn't great ; other Toshibas have better sound ; blacks aren't as dark as they should be at times ; price

Verdict: A visually impressive TV that does a great job with most things you throw at it. Sadly, we're not thrilled about the shallow viewing angle and slightly muddy black levels, both a result of the backlight

Verdict: On the downside, black levels are good but not ground-breaking. Some dark objects look a little pale, particularly when you move off centre, but shadow detail during dark scenes is excellent
