The Apple iPhone 3G Has Been Unlocked the Old School Way
Review summary: If you're stuck in one of the few places where it is not possible to officially purchase an iPhone 3G, you're in luck...
Verdict: Before the software based solutions came along, people were unlocking their iPhones using a specialized piece of hardware. Seeing how the iPhone 3G is fundamentally the same as the classic iPhone (it's funny how something only one year old is already ...

Apple iPhone 3G Smart Phone
Review summary: The latest iPhone's 3G wireless radio accelerates data surfing, but the new model offers little else to justify upgrading from the previous iPhone.
Pros: Has a 3G radio for faster wireless data ; Integrates assisted GPS
Cons: Service plan is more expensive
Verdict: If you already own a first-generation iPhone, though, you should be wary of upgrading. You'll pay more for service, and if you don't live in a 3G-friendly area, or can manage well enough using a Wi-Fi network for Web browsing instead of a cellular ...

iPhone 3G - Phone Reviews by Mobile Tech Review
Review summary: The original iPhone's launch 1 year ago was likely the hottest consumer electronics event of 2007. Even grandmothers and technophobes knew about Apple's cool new phone thanks to long lines at the mall and a barrage of major news coverage. The iPhone ...
Pros: Fast, fantastic touch screen experience, easy to use yet powerful enough to handle syncing, Exchange and other business tasks. The 3.5" display is one of the best we've seen on a mobile device. Great music and video playback, as you'd expect from an ...
Cons: Still no user replaceable battery (a bigger hurt thanks to 3G's power consumption), MMS, video shooting or copy and paste. The 2 megapixel camera isn't exactly cutting edge. No tasks or notes syncing
Verdict: The iPhone 3G is certainly the most fun and easy to use phone available today and for the foreseeable future. Yet it brings smartphone features to the table and a very powerful Internet experience-- two things not usually associated with fun and easy. ...

Apple iPhone 3G (16GB)
Review summary: While parts of the iPhone 3G are superb, there are still some big features missing from this device. If you add up the extras, the iPhone doesn't seem like a phone that everyone can afford.
Pros: 3G, Wi-Fi and GPS ; Outstanding Safari browser and email ; iPod app is great ; App Store is best of its kind
Cons: No navigation software ; Dismal camera app ; Disappointing battery life ; Counter-intuitive menus and settings
Verdict: The phone itself may be more affordable but the already high cost of AT&T service got even higher. You will now pay $200 more on service over the contractual 2 years so actually getting the iPhone 3G ISN'T more afforadable
