Cons: Lacks Wi-Fi Direct text entry in bulk is difficult TouchFLO doesn''t work with the screen in landscape mode

Verdict: The Touch Dual retains its predecessor's sleek design, adding a slide-out keypad and 3G/HSDPA connectivity. Unfortunately, HTC couldn't find room for Wi-Fi as well.

REVIEW: HTC Touch Dual Windows Mobile Phone

      By Steve Dye

Review summary: Can HTC improve on the Touch?

Pros: 3G, slide out keyboard, display

Cons: No Wi-Fi, keys are a little small

      HTC Touch Dual

      By Andrew Lim

Review summary: HTC has improved on its Touch handset with the Touch Dual, adding both a mechanical keypad and 3G. It's an attractive Windows Mobile device -- one of the most attractive we've seen -- and its text input system is very finger friendly. Check out this ...

Pros: Faster processor ; HSDPA ; new one-click access menu

Cons: Keypad looks plasticky ; lack of Wi-Fi

Verdict: If you're an HTC Touch fan, then you'll like the Dual's mechanical keypad that makes texting and dialling a lot easier, plus the new shortcut menus. HSDPA means much faster access to the Internet, and the faster processor and more RAM means that it ...

      By John Chan

Review summary: If the lack of Wi-Fi is not a big issue for you, the Touch Dual, with its great design and improved UI, is an excellent choice for both newcomers and experienced Windows Mobile users.

Pros: HSDPA connectivity ; numeric keypad for one-hand texting, excellent tweaks to the UI through TouchFLO ; slim and attractive design ; intuitive modified Home screen ; snappy performance

Cons: No Wi-Fi ; no GPS ; keypad lacks an OK key ; no dedicated audio connector

Verdict: At first glance, the physical differences between the Touch and Touch Dual may not be immediately apparent. With the keypad closed, the Dual is longer than, but not as wide as, the original. It is slightly thicker, too, but at 15.8mm is still ...
