Cingular 8525 and HTC TyTN - Windows Mobile PDA Phone and Smartphone Reviews by Mobile Tech Review

      By Lisa Gade

Review summary: Mess with a good thing, go ahead. The Cingular 8125 which we praised highly in our February 2006 review, was loved not just by us but by our readers. That review has been one of our most popular in 2006 and the 8125 has sold incredibly well. In the US ...

Verdict: An excellent device for power users who need to do email, view and edit Word and Excel documents, view PowerPoint presentations and PDFs on the go and surf the web. Not just a business device, the Cingular 8525 and TyTN are great multimedia playmates ...

      i-mate JASJAM

      By Ross Catanzariti

Pros: Sliding backlit keyboard, Screen flips into landscape mode automatically, HSDPA capable, Generous features list, microSD card slot

Cons: Bluetooth only 1.2, Proprietary USB and headphone jack, Slider isn't smooth, Sluggish performance

Verdict: The JASJAM is a fair device with a generous features list, but a slow processor and chunky size dampen its appeal.

      Cingular 8525 Review

      By AdamaDBrown

Review summary: The Cingular 8525 is a Pocket PC phone with a built-in keyboard, Wi-Fi b/g, and 3G cellular-wireless networking. Adama D. Brown brings us this review.

Pros: Wireless broadband, Extensive connectivity options, Solid design, Exceptional RF performance

Cons: microSD slot, Combination USB/audio jack

Verdict: While it would have been nice to see some slightly flashier upgrades for the price, such as more memory, or an improved screen, the 8525 delivers in two critical areas--wireless performance and speed.
