      LG KC550 Review

      By PhoneArena Team

Review summary: This is LG KC550, the first budget 5-megapixel cameraphone from a leading manufacturer. It is a mid-level slider and is equipped with Schneider-KREUZNACH autofocus lens, which places it next to the ......

Pros: Very good detail level in daylight pictures, Plays and records videos in DVD resolution, Good balance between price and features, Good sound during a talk

Cons: Useless Internet browser, Not a global phone and no 3G support, The display is almost useless in direct sunlight, Average music sound quality, No TV-out cable included in the package, Lag when navigating through the menus and opening applications

Verdict: As a 5-megapixel cameraphone, LG KC550 performs worse than the best ones available on the market. However, the pictures are good for such a low price. Multimedia wise it has the advantage to reproduce videos in DVD resolution on a big screen via the ...

LG KC550 review: No thrills, all camera

      By GSMArena team

Review summary: A line of multimedia-oriented handsets has secured LG a strong foothold in the cameraphone kingdom. LG KC550 is probably the first to join the club with only imaging in mind. A mid-range handset with a 5 megapixel camera...

Pros: 2.4" 262K-color display of QVGA resolution ; Auto screen rotation in image gallery and video player (built-in accelerometer) ; 5 megapixel autofocus camera with active lens cover and Power LED flash ; 720x480pixel@30fps video recording (VGA@15fps is ...

Cons: Video recording is a great disappointment ; Only 12MB of internal memory ; Poor sunlight legibility ; Really awkward file manager ; No UMTS support ; Only tri-band GSM support ; Glossy front panel is a fingerprint magnet ; No SSL support in the native ...

Verdict: The LG KC550 sure lacks the Viewty power and Secret's Black Label charisma. OK, it's unassuming, but not without a talent of its own. The 5 megapixel slider strives to be the most affordable cameraphone out there with a Wide VGA@30fps video recording ...

      LG KC550 mobile phone

      LG KC550

      By Andrew Lim

Review summary: LG might be making a name for itself in high-end handsets, but don't count it out of the rest of the market just yet. Meet the LG KC550, a pay as you go phone with a 5-megapixel camera. While it lacks 3G and Wi-Fi, it has a few tricks up its sleeve to ...

Pros: Solid phone ; easy-to-use camera

Cons: Lack of xenon flash ; lack of 3G

Verdict: The LG KC550 is a solid camera phone with a reasonable price tag. Unlike the higher-end 5-megapixel camera phones, this won't leave you out of pocket, but it doesn't have a xenon flash, so don't expect great shots in low light
