Review summary: After three long years of waiting we face the RAZR V3 successor: the slim and refined Motorola RAZR2 V8. Sporting a full metal jacket with gradating hues of dark pearl gray, the phone is made to impress. With two high-quality displays with QVGA ...

Pros: Quality metal casing and appealing design ; Really thin, measuring 11.9 mm in thickness ; Large internal and external displays, touch-sensitive keys on the outer display ; CrystalTalk for excellent voice quality ; Talking Phone with SMS and Email ...

Cons: No 3G support ; No memory card slot ; No brightness settings for the external display ; The handset is easy to slip off the hands ; Large size when opened

Verdict: Motorola RAZR2 V8 has a truly graceful silhouette, but the 11.9 mm of thickness get to be appreciated even more considering the clamshell form factor. Clean shape and rounded edges make the slim handset look solid, yet elegant. It does manage to ...

      Motorola RAZR2 V8

      By Frazier Barretto

Review summary: A "flaunt me" phone with a sophisticated interface

Pros: Great looks, Dual screen (both 240x320), 2MP camera, Sleek'n'Sturdy, Touch-sensitive music controls

Cons: Poor battery life and battery compartment, Fingerprint magnet, No memory card slot, QCIF video

Verdict: The RAZR has an oddly placed chin below the keypad. There's a rubber strip to protect the screen from smashing onto the keypad while closing the flap

      Motorola Razr2 V8 (T-Mobile)

      By Kent German

Review summary: Motorola Razr2 V8Editor's note: This review refers to a preproduction model of the Razr2 V8. The final model of the handset may be different.Yes, it's late to the party, as it often tends to be, but T-Mobile finally has picked up the Motorola Razr2. ...

Pros: The Motorola Razr2 V8 offers an attractive design and a useful feature set including stereo Bluetooth and world phone support. Also, its call, music, and photo performance are quite good.

Cons: The Motorola Razr2 V8 doesn't fully utilize its external display or controls, and its menu structure is confusing. Also, it's the only Razr2 without support for 3G networks.

Verdict: The Motorola Razr2 V8 may be one of the prettiest Razr2s around, but it's not nearly as smart. Its saving grace is its good performance.

      Motorola RAZR 2 V8

Review summary: Motorola's RAZR 2 V8 updates the familiar RAZR brand with a sharp new look, but is that enough to win consumers over? Mobile Choice finds out…

Pros: Motorola has managed to make its RAZR handsets even easier on the eye and the built-in music player is of a high standard. The marathon battery life also deserves a mention

Cons: The V8's mediocre two-megapixel camera and the lack of 3G and a memory card slot is frustrating, to say the least

Verdict: If style is top of your criteria, then the RAZR 2 V8 won't disappoint, but its features fail to live up to the promise.
