      Motorola Rizr Z8

      By Andrew Lim

Review summary: Motorola's Rizr V8 has a clever mechanism that enables it to bend towards your mouth and ear when you slide it open. It also boasts a newly designed interface and benefits from HSDPA, so you can browse the Web at super-quick speeds

Pros: New and improved Motorola interface ; HSDPA (3.5G) ; S9 Stereo Bluetooth headset ; easy-to-access SIM and microSD slots

Cons: Hard-to-use keypad and nav keys

Verdict: It's great to see Motorola move away from the classic Razr V3 design with this mobile, also known as the Motorizr Z8. We're also excited about the HSDPA. The awkward-to-use keypad, however, really lets the phone down

      Motorola RIZR Z8

Review summary: With the RAZR looking old and crusty, Motorola has given us a new icon to salivate over. But is the multimedia Z8 good enough to inherit the mantle?

Pros: Unique curved slider action. Smooth video capture and playback. HSDPA download speeds. Stunning display

Cons: Average camera. Disappointing music player

Motorola Z8 'kick slider' media phone

      By Andrew Orlowski

Review summary: After years of flogging the Razr to death, and some very uninspired siblings, Motorola finally has something interesting to offer for the more demanding end of the market.

Verdict: From its styling, the Z8 appears to have been designed to appeal to blokes who talk very loudly in the gym. This, with the BSkyB bundle, is probably very astute marketing. The real bellweather technology adopters aren't phone nerds but the guy in ...

      By Jay

Review summary: Motorola's new hero handset, the Z8, is not going to be taken at launch by either Orange, T-Mobile or Three, according to the trade magazine Mobile Today although no reasons have been given by the networks. Motorola were hoping that the Z8 would be ...

      motorola z8 rizr

      By Zod

Review summary: Decent phone. Good screen, 3G, HSDPA, microSD slot. Could do with Wi-Fi, Tv-out and a better keypad. It's a high-end phone - buy on PAYG or get the Motorola Z8 for "free" on a pay-monthly contract.

Pros: 3G and HSDPA, Display, Bourne Identity on memory card

Cons: Keypad, Camera lens gets grubby, No Wi-Fi, No TV-out
