      Nokia 5310 XpressMusic

      By Steven Leckart

Review summary: slider from just two years ago, this truly bite-size candy bar is 9 grams lighter than the W890i, about 0.25mm thinner and less wide by about 6.6mm (it's also advertised as .01 inches slimmer, but we couldn't tell). While we had no trouble stashing ...

Pros: Excellent sound quality. Able to accept calls not only while USB-connected, but also *during* file transfers. Convenient external music controls. 3.5mm jack (can't stress this enough). Tween alert: sufficiently loud external speaker great (annoying) ...

Cons: Flashless 2.0 MP camera. Dated, sluggish OS. Only 1GB card included. Dinky earbuds are literally a foot shorter than iPod buds. Only 17-second vid clips. Voice recordings limited to 58 seconds. Ours came stocked with a Panic at the Disco track ...

Pros: Good-looking. Excellent voice quality. Solid music quality and options.

Cons: Dismal camera. Speaker is on the back.

Verdict: The Nokia 5310 XpressMusic is an adorable and affordable choice for T-Mobile users looking to chat, groove, and message.

      Nokia 5310 XpressMusic Review

      By PhoneArena Team

Review summary: With its dedicated control buttons, 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio with RDS, and stereo Bluetooth, it would be rather hard to miss that this is geared for those wanting a great cellphone ......

Pros: Great media player, Dedicated music controls, Long battery life, Good sound quality when listening to music, Small size, Brightness of the display, even in very bright environments

Cons: Outgoing sound quality, Photo quality, Only tri-band, Can be uncomfortable to hold at times, Location of microSD slot, MicroUSB slot is rather hard to open and keep opened, WAP Browser

Verdict: For a music handset, this was one enjoyable little model. Its small size made it great for day-to-day use and storage without getting in the way. The battery had more than enough juice to keep it going throughout the day without dying on us.

Nokia XpressMusic 5310 - Phone Reviews by Mobile Tech Review

      By Tong Zhang

Review summary: The last generation Nokia XpressMusic phone, the Nokia 5300, sold well on T-Mobile USA. But thin is in, and the phone was ripe for a redesign. And so T-Mobile has picked two new models for the US market: the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic phone which became ...

Pros: Thin and sleek looking phone. Great audio quality. 1GB microSD card and stereo wired headset included. USB cable included for side-loading music. A good web browser and a decent camera

Cons: Voice recognition doesn't work well out of the box. Number keys and d-pad are too slippery. Not quad band, missing the 900MHz band used heavily in Europe

Verdict: If you like music-centric phones that also look sleek and thin, you will get along with the Nokia 5310 famously. The phone isn't super-fast, but it gets the job done. Phone calls are very clear and loud and listening to music is a joy. The included ...

Nokia 5310 Xpress Music - blue (unlocked) review

Pros: The 5310 Xpress Music has an attractive design with a brilliant display and easy-to-use controls. It also offers a solid feature set and satisfying performance

Cons: The 5310 Xpress Music has a pitifully small internal memory and poor photo quality; also, it's not a quadband world phone

Verdict: The Nokia 5310 continues the fine Xpress Music tradition by offering a satisfying blend of features and performance in an attractive design.
