      Nokia 6233: simple, well-designed candybar

      By Andrew Lim

Pros: Good camera ; extremely ergonomic hardware design

Cons: No front-facing camera for 3G video calls ; music quality average ; very short on internal memory

Verdict: A small and pocket-friendly tri-band handset with 3G and a 2-megapixel camera, the Nokia 6233 is fine for phone calls, radio listening and shooting stills and video. Face-to-face video calls are out of the question, though

      Nokia 6233

      By Eldar Murtazin

Review summary: The world’s largest mobile phones manufacturer, Nokia, not always was topping a number of niches, for example the share of handsets for youth was almost free of the company’s presence 10 years ago. The release of Nokia 3210 and consequent ...

Verdict: The commercial success of Nokia 6210 called into being not only the following model, Nokia 6310 (with Bluetooth connectivity and slightly altered software part), but also an extra version of the original model (silvery Nokia 6210 with improved battery ...

Nokia 6233 review: Discreet business tool

      By GSMArena team

Review summary: A medium-sized candybar with a lot of nerves, Nokia 6233 is one of the current Nokia handsets that might interest you in case you are looking for non-smartphone 3G solution. What is more, the classic styled mobile offers a great TFT display, great ...

Pros: 2 megapixel camera ; Video recording in VGA resolution ; microSD memory card slot (hot-swap) ; Metallic body frame/casing ; MP3 player and stereo FM radio ; QVGA display resolution ; 3G and EDGE support ; Stereo speakers with 3D effects ; Bluetooth, ...

Cons: Lack of front video call camera ; No camera macro mode ; No camera LED flash ; FM radio has no RDS support ; Side buttons are rather hard to press

Verdict: In terms of design and form factor the phone resembles a lot the budget mobiles Nokia 6020, 6030, 6070 and 6080. In technological aspect though, it most certainly outperforms all of those. Feature-wise the phone is almost identical to Nokia 6280

      By Andy White

Review summary: A stainless steel design hits Nokia's 6233 -- a 3G-capable candybar-style phone with a 2-megapixel camera, music player, video ringtones and a QVGA display.

Pros: Relatively small size for a 3G phone, microSD card support up to 2GB, Stainless steel finish, In-built stereo speakers, 2-megapixel camera

Cons: No video calls, Some Web pages don't resize correctly in browser, Battery life no better than comparable models, Won't fit old Nokia car-kit cradles

Verdict: The 6233 is a reasonably priced 3G handset that despite the absence of video calls performs excellently in the vast array of features it does possess. Ultimately, the 6233 is a smallish classically-designed handset that is easy-to-use, and which ...
