      Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte

Review summary: Nokia latest ultra-deluxe blower now comes with a bullet-proof titanium finish. But will it be shot down by the luxury competition?

Pros: Awesome build quality. Class-leading slider action. Certified eco-friendly. Internal memory boost

Cons: Expensive price tag. No major feature upgrades. Lack of expandable memory options

      Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte Review

      By PhoneArena Team

Review summary: Did you see the word 'Arte' in the title? You did? Does it ring a bell? That is the name of the most expensive product in the Nokia catalogue – the only major company on the market ......

Pros: Slightly different (modernistic) design compared to the other two models, Carries the exquisite feeling for luxury, High-quality sound

Cons: Display is useless in direct sunlight, Doesn't offer anything innovative, Controls are not very user-friendly

Verdict: Got money... And you know it... Take it out your pocket and show it... Throw it... This a way... That a way... This a way... oops, we got carried away!

      Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte

      By Damian Koh

Review summary: Like the previous Artes, the Carbon Arte doesn't offer anything exciting in features, but it's still an excellent choice if you are considering a luxury phone for the first time, or unfortunately, downgrading from a Vertu.

Pros: Solid build quality ; 3G ; 4GB onboard memory ; parts of the phone are coated with fingerprint-resistant layer

Cons: Poor screen legibility under sunlight ; no built-in flash ; no expansion card slot

Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte review: Carbon copy

      By GSMArena team

Review summary: Ask not what your phone can do for you. It's Nokia Arte, folks, so the question is who you need to kill to have it. Exquisite materials, sophisticated slider design and state-of-the-art finish are doing their best to camouflage...

Pros: Yells expensive (and it does cost an arm and a leg) ; Body made of the highest quality materials ; 2-inch 16M-color OLED display of QVGA resolution ; 3G support ; 3 megapixel camera with autofocus ; Full-house retail package ; Decent battery life ; ...

Cons: Smallish display with poor sunlight legibility ; Tri-band only ; No memory expansion ; Costs an arm and a leg ; Below-par camera performance ; No video calls

Verdict: But hey, we never held that against the Arte series. That Arte tag is just a sin tax and there's obviously people out there that can live with it. Cast in the same mold as its forerunners, Nokia Carbon Arte is topping the familiar OLED screen, 3G and ...

      Nokia 8800 Arte

Review summary: Nokia 8800 Arte is a mobile phone by Nokia. It is a relatively small phone with dimensions of 109 mm x 45.6 mm x 14.6 mm, 65 cc, and weighs about 150 grams. The phone is equipped with a 240 x320 pixels screen with scratch-resistant glass. It boasts of ...

Pros: Ditch the manbag, fashion fans: Nokia's new style mobile is the thing to be seen with this season. From the illuminated keypad to the precision glass and metal sliding body, the Arte oozes quality. There's no touchscreen here, just the good old Nokia ...

Cons: While that 1GB is fairly generous, the lack of a card slot means it's all you've got in the way of storage. That's a bad thing on a phone with a camera and music player, but really it's the only stain on the 8800 Arte's flashy clothes

Verdict: A symphony of understated elegance and neat touches, from the illuminated keypad to the solid sliding action, the Arte oozes quality.
