Nokia E75 Review - Smartphone Reviews by Mobile Tech Review

      By Lisa Gade

Review summary: The Nokia E75 is one of the few QWERTY side-slider smartphones that masquerades as a candybar phone. Like the HTC S740, it has a front number pad and d-pad and can be used as a traditional phone, complete with T9-style text entry. But wait: slide the ...

Pros: Slim and beautiful with great build quality

Cons: QVGA resolution is getting old

Verdict: A superbly slim and attractive phone, the Nokia E75 has the class and quality of a Bond movie prop (we're speaking of the black version, we haven't seen the red model in the flesh). The smartphone has Nokia's usual excellent voice quality and phone ...

      Nokia E75

Pros: The Nokia E75 offers a compact design while managing to fit in a full QWERTY keyboard. The smartphone ships with Nokia's new messaging client, which features push delivery for all accounts. Other highlights include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a 3.2 ...

Cons: The E75 is expensive. Call quality wasn't the best, and the dialpad on front is cramped

Verdict: The Nokia E75 is a nice alternative to the current crop of slate QWERTY messaging smartphones, offering a compact design without sacrificing the keyboard or e-mail capabilities. However, without carrier backing, the unlocked phone is a bit expensive.

      Nokia E75

Review summary: The Nokia E75 is an S60 (V3.2) smartphone with side-slide Qwerty keyboard and 2.4-inch QVGA display. HSDPA (3.6Mbps) and quad-band GSM are joined by Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It supports Microsoft Exchange push email and comes with 4GB microSD card, 3 ...

Pros: Beware the boss who offers to buy you an E75. With its extensive range of 3.5G, GSM, Wi-Fi and push email connections, you risk being contactable almost anywhere in the world that has electrical power. And with a slide-out keyboard that has keys large ...

Cons: The 2.4-inch LCD screen is the on the small side these days, especially for typing longer messages and extra especially for web browsing. Battery life is also pretty anaemic for its power user/road warrior target market – less than four and a half ...

Verdict: From its macho edges to its bicep-firming weight, the E75 declares that you mean business. It's a solid and reliable messager, then, despite an underwhelming screen and battery life.

      Nokia E75

      By Flora Graham

Review summary: The Nokia E75 is a solid smart phone that combines a sliding Qwerty keyboard with the small alphanumeric keypad of a candybar phone. With the familiar Nokia user interface, it's a powerful device that can handle both work and play without any drama

Pros: Compact size ; familiar user interface ; option of two homescreens ; clear screen ; Wi-Fi connectivity ; good email support ; full Qwerty keyboard ; Ovi Store application

Cons: Tightly packed keys ; no easy access to numbers on the Qwerty keyboard ; no syncing for Macs ; user interface starting to look tired ; Nokia Maps underperforms

Verdict: The Nokia E75 squeezes a slide-out Qwerty keyboard into a solid phone that's as compact as a candybar. Inside, Nokia has stuck to what it does best, with the powerful, familiar Symbian S60 operating system and a decent 3.2-megapixel camera. Newer ...
