Sony Ericcson W995 review
Review summary: Combining the Walkman and Cyber-shot brands into one handset is an excellent idea by Sony Ericsson, and it certainly has the looks to boot…
Pros: 3.5mm audio jack, excellent audio quality, effective equalisers and integrated BBC iPlayer
Cons: Converting videos is slow at 30 minutes or more, no DivX/Xvid video support, screen doesn't support widescreen format, image stabiliser is ineffective, and video recording is limited to WQVGA
Verdict: Combining the Walkman and Cyber-shot brands into one handset is an excellent idea by Sony Ericsson, and it certainly has the looks to boot. The Media Go software needs work though, and it is this that lets the handset down.

Sony Ericsson W995 review
Review summary: Does Sony Ericsson's W995 mark a shift towards home media access for mobile phones, or is this a half-hearted attempt at a technology still in its infancy? …
Pros: 3.5mm audio jack (finally), excellent audio quality, effective equalizers and integrated BBC iPlayer
Cons: Converting videos is a chore at 30 minutes or more, no DivX/Xvid video support, screen doesn't support widescreen format, image stabilizer ineffective, video recording limited to WQVGA
Verdict: A good effort at the ultimate media phone, but it can't stand up to smartphones that promise the same thing as well as offering more juice and larger, brighter displays.
