Apple iPod
Review summary: This is the state of the art as far as iPods get. In almost all respects, this is the same as the fifth-generation iPod released in 2005, and commonly known as the iPod Video
Pros: Easy to use, Good value for money
Cons: No radio or recording, iTunes
Verdict: Skimps on features, but wins on sheer quality

Review: Apple iPod 80GB mp3 player
By Philip Berne
Review summary: Before the imminent release of the iPhone, we take a good look at Apple's newest generation of iPod, with 80GB of storage for movies and music.
Pros: Best-in-class transfer and management software. Classic design. Great sound. Videos look sharp even on the small screen.
Cons: Lacks some features without additional hardware. Interface is looking dated. No WMA support without re-encoding song file.

Apple iPod Video portable media player
By David Price
Review summary: Creative's Zen Vision W, being larger-screened and chunkier, is designed for video above all other functions, but the Apple iPod Video sits elegantly on the fence. It's an oversized music player but smaller than your average full-blown portable video ...
Verdict: Apple's iPods rule the market for a reason. The Apple iPod Video is well up to the task of video and audio, and we are delighted with its user-friendly interface. However, if video is your thing then 2.5in of screen estate could lead to a pair of very ...

Apple iPod (30GB, 5th Generation, Black)
By Anonymous (21/07/2007)
- Pros: Large Memory, makes you look cool in front of friends
- Cons: Have to use iTunes which is rubbish and has ruined my life
Well, I got a 30GB iPod and was really happy. All my school friends thought it was cool, until it began crashing after a few weeks. So I got a replacement and that too went horribly wrong, so in the end I got all my money back and was even happier before I bought the iPod. The one thing I hate about iPods is having to get iTunes and use that. It's crap!!! It's not very user friendly and co...

Apple iPod (30GB, 5th Generation, Black)
By neil diamond (09/09/2006)
- Pros: Looks nice
- Cons: Frustrated with "customer support"
I purchased the Ipod Video 60G and I wish I hadn't. Despite reading bad reviews, I trusted the Apple name. Instead of designing the unit for ease of use and a pleasant experience, Apple wants to redesign customers. I wan't click and drag. Don't have time for a Phd in Ipodology. Apple extends this philosophy to its iTunes store. They go out of their way to frustrate doing business with ...
