Apple iPod
Review summary: This is the state of the art as far as iPods get. In almost all respects, this is the same as the fifth-generation iPod released in 2005, and commonly known as the iPod Video
Pros: Easy to use, Good value for money
Cons: No radio or recording, iTunes
Verdict: Skimps on features, but wins on sheer quality

Review: Apple iPod 80GB mp3 player
By Philip Berne
Review summary: Before the imminent release of the iPhone, we take a good look at Apple's newest generation of iPod, with 80GB of storage for movies and music.
Pros: Best-in-class transfer and management software. Classic design. Great sound. Videos look sharp even on the small screen.
Cons: Lacks some features without additional hardware. Interface is looking dated. No WMA support without re-encoding song file.

Apple iPod (60GB, 5th Generation, Black)
By James Ewin (26/07/2006)
- Pros: Looks, Capacity, Battery, Connection Software, Screen, Navigation
- Cons: Size, Glitches
Looking to carry my sizable music collection around I was temped by the Sony NWA300 but deterred by the software. I opted for the 60GB Video Ipod mainly for the extra battery life offered by its larger size.
On the whole I'm pleased, it looks good (if large) and the audio quality is excellent (although not perfect - 320mbps MP3 encoding). Navigation is easy (if sometimes glitchy), iTunes ex...
